First night-Dovetail (http://dovetailnyc.com). One of Adam Platt's tops. On the upper west (rarely head that way), great to soak up new parts of the city. Love a restaurant with courses between your ordered course, love a little attention to detail and love when the food looks as good as it tastes. This place meets the Platt standards!
