My cousins had heard about "The Ride" prior to coming, so we looked it up and decided to give it a try. The Ride is an interactive greyhound bus with the seats facing sideways and lots of tvs and lights that takes you for a cruise through midtown and the west side with performers staged along the way. It was my cousin's 21st bday, so we asked The Ride for a little gift
Our tour guides. Basically amateur actors, who are still honing their craft and no quite funny yet...to put it nicely
Our first view
We passed the Ghost stage, about to start up!
Times square
Our first performer-the new years guy (in yellow coat). He has a happy 2012 hat on and kazoos
The New Years crystal ball
Tapping guy-our second performer.
Bank of America building, super eco friendly and the 2nd/3rd tallest in the city-see pic above
The washed out Chrysler Building
Grand Central
The UPS guy that brake dances (3rd performer) and somehow I missed the 4th guy. He was by far the best. He rapped on the street corner and was so good he was able to adjust to anyone who walked by and what anyone was doing. Very talented! He also incorporated a Happy Birthday section for my cousin, she was so surprised!!
The Hearst Building, again super eco friendly
Next performers, ballet music starts playing in the bus as we round Columbus Circle-look closely and you'll see the girl in pink is on point and dances while we round.
Finally, the last (unscheduled) performer-The Naked Cowboy!!
Fun loop around the city, may not be worth all the money, but definitely fun for all the NYC rookies.
